Inserting & Deleting Table Columns

Insert Column After

To insert a column after a selected column, follow these steps:

  1. Click in a cell in a column after which you wish to insert a column.

  2. Press the Insert Column After button.

Insert Column Before

To insert a column before a selected column, follow these steps:

  1. Click in a cell in a column before which you wish to insert a column.

  2. Press the Insert Column Before button.

Remove Column

To delete a column, follow these steps:

  1. Click in a cell in a column you wish to delete.

  2. Press the Remove Column button.

You can use this button to remove an entire table if you’d like—just delete every column until there’s nothing left. If you’re in a hurry, you can easily delete an entire table with just two clicks.
