Paste as Plain Text

Normally you cut, copy, & paste using the appropriate key commands:

  • Ctrl- (or ⌘, if you use a Mac) x: cut
  • Ctrl- (or ⌘) c: copy
  • Ctrl- (or ⌘) v: paste

If you copy text from a formatted source, like Word or another webpage, & then paste that text into the WYSIWYG, the formatting will carry over. In other words, if you copy bold text from Word and paste it into the WYSIWYG, the resulting text will be bold.

That may be fine, but what if you want to paste text into the WYSIWYG without carrying over any formatting? What if you’d like to strip the formatting from the text you paste?

In those cases, use the Paste as Plain Text button.
