Changing a Post's URL Slug

If the Slug is too long (See basic terms to know), you can change it. If you do change it, use lowercase letters only, with words separated by hyphens. Numbers may also be used in the Post URL Slug, but symbols besides the hyphen should never be used. Here are some examples:

• annual-dinner-and-auction

• jan-12-2012-board-meeting

Steps for Changing a Post's URL Slug

1. Hover over the Dashboard button in the Toolbar and click Posts.

   The Posts panel will appear.

2. Click on the Post.

3. Click Edit.

   The Edit Post panel will appear.

4. Press Properties.

5. Change the URL Slug.

6. Press Save.
